In Jammu and Kashmir, the State Election Commission has declared the schedule of Panchayat elections. The Jammu & Kashmir Panchayat Election 2018 first phase will cover 15 total districts in which 2 are in Ladakh, 7 is in Jammu and 6 districts are in Kashmir. In Jammu and Kashmir, the last panchayat polls were conducted in 2011.
Recently, the ULB elections were completed in 4 phases in the state and J & K Local Urban Bodies Election Result also declared on October 20.
Therefore the militancy-infested Kashmir blocks have been stretched to 8 or 9 phases polling to ensure an ethical and nonviolence friendly polls replicating like urban local bodies.
Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) Panchayat Election 2018 Counting Result Date and Nominations for First Phase
In the Jammu & Kashmir Panchayat Election 2018 the first phase of polls, a total of 1886 nominations have been filed for 547 Sarpanch Halqas, and a total of 6373 Nominations for 4151 Panch Wards has been filed by the end of nomination filling day.
The last date of withdrawal of the names from nominees for phase-1 is November 2, 2018. The Jammu & Kashmir Panchayat Election 2018 Counting Results of votes for phase-1 will be conducted on 17 November 2018. And. But due to snowfall in Bandipora district in Kashmir division the end date of filing nominations has been extended by 4 days.

The Chief Electoral Officer in Jammu and Kashmir Mr.Shaleen Kabra in an interview with the media said: “That the notification for the Jammu & Kashmir Panchayat Election 2018 first phase polling was issued will be taking place on the November 17th and for the last phase of the voting would take place on December 11th ”.
CEO Kabra also said that sufficient security and managing arrangements are being made day-by-day to ensure better polling and ethical practices.
Mr.Kabra told how to handle a situation and ensure a fear election in Jammu and Kashmir. Every day candidates have been facing threats from militants, therefore, the civic polls resulted in low voting turnout in the state.
CEO Kabra told that there is a total of 316 blocks, 4483 panchayat Halqas, and 35029 Panch constituencies. The number of voters presented into Jammu in Kashmir in 2018 elections is approximately 58 lakhs.
Mr. Kabra also gave information about the second and third phase which will be conducted on November 20 and November 24, 2018. Jammu & Kashmir Panchayat Election 2018 Counting Live Results will be declared on the same day after the polling.
He explained the days by using the reference that there must be a gap of 23 days between the phases to ensure free and fair elections and in the end, the elections last phase will be completed on 11th December.
