Punjab Panchayat Election 2018 Date Vote Counting Schedule

Punjab’s State Election Commission, Sir Jagpal Sandhu proclaimed the poll schedule for Punjab Gram Panchayat Election 2018.  The polling date for the entire gram panchayat election is December 30. Punjab is the State which comprises around 13,276 Panchayats.

The “Model Code of Conduct” has come into power promptly within the announcement of EC for Poll event for the State. The Model Code of conduct would have remained in power until the poll events.

EC Jagpal Sindhu predicted that the procedure for the nomination would begin from December 15. Candidates can get candidature ship lastly till December 19’ 2018. The nomination document will scrutinize on 20th December. The date for withdrawal of the assignments would be 21st December 2018. On the same day, EC will allow the election symbols to the contestants.


The Punjab Gram Panchayat election 2018 will start on 30 December at 8 AM and close till 4 PM. Punjab Gram Panchayat Election 2018 Counting Result will start on the same day after finishing the votes for the post of Panchs, Sarpanchs, and Panchayats.

Election Commission Ensured Security For Punjab Gram Panchayat Election 2018

Election Commission has appointed more than 40 detractors to ensure peaceable and sleek conduct of Punjab Gram Panchayat election. The elections will be held to elect 13276 Sarpanchs for 13276 Panchayats said EC Jagpal.

Furthermore, he told about the number of reserved seats. The Schedule casts reserved seat is 17,811, while SC’s women candidate can elect from 12,634 seats. Total 26,315 General category for women contestants only and 26,315 for General category. The Backward Classes reserved seats are 4,381.

Punjab’s EC has organized 17,268 polling booths for the Panchayat elections. Election duty would be executed through 86,340 members.

The total number of 1,27,87,395 registered voters in the state. This consists of 66,88,245 males voters, 60,66,245 female and 97 are third genders too.
